Sponsorship

The Hull & District Squash Association runs the squash leagues across Hull, East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. We are a company limited by guarantee, run entirely by volunteers, and every pound of sponsorship goes back into running the league.

If your business would like to support local squash, this page explains what we can offer and what it involves. If you would rather just talk it through, email {{contact-email}}.

What the league is

We run a winter league of around 30 teams from local clubs, across 4 divisions, with around 1,000 registered players. Fixtures run from September to March. Every result is entered on this site, and results are published on to SquashLevels, the national rating system, so players follow the league here week by week through the season.

Our players are adults who play sport regularly and buy the things that go with it: rackets, balls, shoes, court time, club membership. Most of them live within an hour of Hull.

What we can honestly tell you about this website

We think you should know this before you decide, because most people selling advertising will not tell you.

We do not measure our visitors, and we will not quote you a number we cannot stand behind. This site runs no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party cookies at all. That is a deliberate promise we make to our members in our privacy notice, and we are not going to break it in order to sell advertising. What that means for you is simple: we cannot report impressions or click-throughs, and we will not pretend otherwise.

What we can tell you is exactly how many players and teams are in the league, which clubs they come from, and how many people are on our mailing list. Those are real numbers from our own records, and we are happy to share them.

We also cannot give any sponsor access to our members' details — not their names, not their email addresses, not their clubs. That is not a negotiating position. It is what data protection law requires of us and what our members were promised when they signed up. If getting hold of a mailing list is the point of the sponsorship for you, we are the wrong league.

What we can offer

League title sponsor

Your name goes in front of the league's own name for the whole season: for example "[Your Business] Winter League 2027/28". That is then how the league is named across this site — the tables, the results, the rankings, the club pages, the champions page and the season archive — and in everything we write about it.

It also carries into our fixture calendar, so players who subscribe to the league's fixtures see it against every match in their own diary for the season. And it carries into the divisions if you want it to, so the top flight becomes "[Your Business] Premier Division".

One sponsor per season.

Division sponsor

Your name on one division for the season, wherever that division's table, fixtures and results appear. Suitable if you want to be associated with the league without taking the whole thing.

Cup or competition sponsor

Your name on a knockout competition, a box league, a club ladder or a one-off event — and on our honours board afterwards, where the entry stays permanently.

Ball and equipment supplier

If you supply the league's match balls, or kit our teams, we will say so: on this page, in the partners list in the footer of every page, and in the season announcement. This one is often done in kind rather than in cash, and that suits us both.

Supporting the league without the front page

Your name and a link in the partners list at the foot of every page, and your logo on this page. The least intrusive option, and the cheapest.

Member offers

If you would rather give our players a discount than support us via sponsorship to grow squash locally, we have a members' area that carries partner offers. Those pages sit behind a login and are not indexed by search engines, so a code you give our members stays with our members instead of ending up on a voucher site. You would also be able to see exactly what it was worth, from your own sales, without us handing over anything about anybody. Happy to talk about this on its own or alongside anything above.

What we ask of you

  • A logo as a PNG or JPG file, at least 400 pixels wide. We host it ourselves — we cannot link to an image on your own website, because that would let your web server see who is reading ours.
  • The web address you want the link to point at.
  • A line or two about the business, if you would like one.
  • Ideally, a decision before the season is set up in August, because the league's name is fixed when the season opens.

What we will not do

  • Share or sell any member's personal details, to anyone, for any amount.
  • Put tracking pixels, advertising scripts or third-party cookies on this site.
  • Email our members on a sponsor's behalf. We will mention a partner in our own newsletter, in our own words. We will not hand over the list or forward someone else's marketing.
  • Sell anything we cannot actually deliver. If we have not built somewhere to put something, we will say so rather than take the money and work it out later.

Talk to us

Email {{contact-email}} or use the contact form, and tell us roughly what you had in mind and what sort of budget. We will come back to you with what we can actually do for it.

We are a volunteer committee, so please allow us a few days to reply.
