Following the league
Last reviewed 5 October 2026
Everything about the squash league on Humber Squash — fixtures, results, league tables, player rankings and clubs — is open to everyone. You do not need an account to follow it, and nor does anybody in your family. This guide is for players, parents and supporters who want to keep up with a team.
Finding fixtures
Open Fixtures from the Leagues menu or from the home page (the address is /fixtures). It starts with the matches still to come, a week at a time, under headings such as "w/c Mon 3 Nov" — the week commencing that Monday.
Each fixture is one line:
- the day and date, and the start time when the league has set one,
- the division,
- the home team, then the away team,
- where it is played — usually the home team's club.
When a match is at a neutral venue — for example a final round where a whole division plays at one club on one night — the line says so, as "(neutral venue)" after the venue's name, with any note the league has added, such as the start time for the evening.
Filtering to your team
Above the list you can choose:
- Team — just that team's matches, home and away,
- Division,
- Club (home or away) — every match a club's teams play, wherever they are,
- Month,
- Show — Upcoming, Results or All of the season.
Then choose Show fixtures. The address in your browser changes to match what you chose, so you can bookmark it, or send it to somebody in a message and they will see exactly the same list.
When a team is chosen, a line at the top says Showing: and the team's name, with links to change it or go back to all teams.
Remembering your team
With a team chosen, select Make this my team. Next time you open Fixtures on this phone or computer, it opens on your team. Your choice is kept in your own browser, on this device only — nothing is sent to Humber Squash. Choose Forget my team to undo it.
On the home page, Find my team in the Follow the league panel goes straight to a team's fixtures.
Results
On Fixtures, choose Results to see the matches already played, most recent first. The score in each line is the number of rubbers each side won; select it to open the match, with who played and the game scores.
The Results page (/results) has every match's full scorecard on one page, and lets you look back at earlier seasons as well. It has the same team, division, club and month choices as Fixtures.
Adding fixtures to your calendar
You can have your team's fixtures appear in your phone's calendar. Choose your team on Fixtures, or open the team's own page, then open Add to my calendar.
This is a subscription rather than a one-off copy: if the league moves a match, your calendar changes too. Calendar apps check for changes on their own timetable, usually every few hours, so a change can take a little while to appear.
- iPhone or iPad: tap Subscribe on iPhone or Mac, then Subscribe and Add.
- Android: tap Add to Google Calendar while signed in to your Google account, then Add. It then appears in the Google Calendar app on your phone.
- Google Calendar on a computer: choose Other calendars, then +, then From URL, and paste the calendar address shown in the panel.
- Outlook: choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web, and paste the calendar address shown in the panel.
With no team chosen, the calendar has every fixture in the league.
Reading the league table
League tables (the League standings page, /rankings/teams) show one table per division:
| Column | Means |
|---|---|
| Pos | Position in the division |
| Pl | Matches played |
| W, D, L | Won, drawn and lost |
| R | Rubbers won |
| +/− | Games won minus games lost |
| Pts | League points |
| Form | The most recent results |
| Next | The next fixture |
Teams level on points are separated by rubbers won, then by the +/− column, then by the results between them. Teams still level share a position, shown with "=". The rules page sets out how points are scored.
Player rankings
Rankings (/rankings/players) list every player by division, with the matches they have played, won and lost, any appearances as a substitute, and their points. Select a column heading to sort by it, or a player's name to see their record. You can search by a player's name or club.
Finding a club
Clubs (/clubs) lists every club in the league, with its teams this season. Select a club for its own page: where it is, its courts and club nights, and its teams. Select a team for its squad, its fixtures and results, and the calendar subscription.
What an account is for
You only need an account to:
- tell the other team you're ready for a match, as a team captain or vice captain,
- enter a result,
- message your captain or the people who run the league.
Parents, supporters and players who just want to know where and when they are playing do not need one.
Parents and guardians of juniors
Everything above works for you without an account. If you would like more — your junior's fixtures and results gathered on one page, their match notifications (a result entered, a fixture moved, postponed or cancelled) and a way to message their captain — ask your junior's club administrator to add you as their parent or guardian. They link your login to your junior (or set one up and email you an invitation: "You've been added as a parent or guardian for …"). You can follow several juniors at different clubs, your junior does not need a login of their own, and nobody asks for their age or date of birth. Your name is never shown on a public page; only your junior's captains and club and league administrators see that you are their parent or guardian. You can stop at any time from My profile. Once you are linked, My profile links to a parent's guide with the details.
Getting an account
You cannot sign up for an account yourself. Accounts are set up by the league, usually through your club. If you play and would like one, ask your club administrator or your team captain.
When your account is ready you will get an email from Humber Squash with a subject such as "Activate your Humber Squash account". It asks you to choose your own password, using a link in the email. To check that the email is genuine:
- the link goes to www.humbersquash.org — the same address as this website,
- the link works once, and stops working after a couple of weeks; if it has expired, ask for another,
- it never asks you to send anybody your password — you choose it on the website, and nobody at Humber Squash can see it.
If you were not expecting the email, you can ignore it: the account cannot be used until somebody chooses a password with that link.
Once your password is set, use Log in at the top of any page.
