New Website - New Features Launched
The league has a new website. Everything you used before is still here — fixtures, results, league tables and player rankings — but there is now a members’ area, and a few things worth knowing before the season starts.
Getting your login
You do not create an account yourself, and nobody at the league sets a password for you. Instead you will be sent an invitation by email.
The email contains a link. Open it, choose your own password, and you are in. The link works once and lasts 14 days — if you leave it too long, just ask and a fresh one will be sent. The old one stops working at that point, so always use the most recent email.
Your sign-in is your email address.
If we do not hold an email address for you, you will be given a short claim code instead — your club contact can pass it on. It does the same job: you enter it, choose a password, and the code is spent.
A few things that catch people out:
- Check your junk folder before asking for a re-send. The invitation comes from the league, not from a person.
- Not everyone needs an account. If you only want to look at fixtures, results and tables, you never have to sign in — all of that stays public.
What an account gets you
Captains can enter and correct their own team’s results, register players, and confirm fixtures. Club contacts can keep their club’s page up to date — address, courts, coaching, club news.
Every member gets their own profile: the matches you have played, who you played, and how your rating has moved across the season.
Notifications
The site now tells you when something happens that involves you, rather than expecting you to keep checking.
There are five kinds:
- League results — a result is entered or updated for one of your fixtures.
- Fixture confirmations — the other team has confirmed a fixture and is waiting on you.
- Fixture fully confirmed — both teams have confirmed, so the match is settled.
- Substitution requests — a sub-down request has been raised or decided.
- Direct messages — another captain or an administrator has written to you.
On the site, and by email
Every notification appears in the bell in the header, and stays there whether you read it that day or a fortnight later. That part cannot be turned off, deliberately — it means nothing is ever lost because an email went astray.
What you can control is which of them are also emailed to you. Go to Notification settings and tick the ones you want in your inbox. Turning an email off does not hide the notification; it only stops the email.
Captains generally want fixture confirmations and results on by email. If you only play, you may prefer to leave everything unticked and check the bell when it suits you.
Messages
You can message another captain or an administrator through the site rather than hunting for a phone number. It keeps the conversation in one place, and it means nobody has to publish their mobile number to arrange a rearranged fixture.
Something wrong?
If your name is spelled wrong, you are listed against the wrong team, or a result does not look right, tell us — do not assume somebody else has already said something. Most of it takes a minute to correct.
